Making a difference - one quilt at a time.

[This group will be on summer hiatus until further notice.]

The women of Hebron gather each Wednesday to quilt, sew, and fellowship. Started approximately twenty years ago, the group meets year-round, often breaking for a couple of months during the summer. Typically, there are eight to ten women at the weekly quilting sessions. The Hebron quilting group is part of the larger organization, Women of the ELCA. Each year, approximately thirty quilts are lovingly crafted at Hebron. During November, our church has a Blessing of the Quilts service where all of the quilts are displayed inside of the church. Subsequently, the quilts are donated to families in need in the Appalachia area.

All quilting skill levels are welcome!

“As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.”
